Startup Internship Program at NIT Trichy – Call for startup comapnies
Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India. The E-Cell, NIT Trichy, as the name suggests, is a student run organisation devoted to fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship among students on a global scale. Our signature events are Ventura, the international business plan competition and Genesis, the innovation entrepreneurship meet which provides the NIT students with an opportunity to interact with reputed businessmen,entrepreneurs and academicians through guest lectures ,workshops and panel discussions.Our other major activities include Ideas Challenge(an innovation contest), Innovation Bar Camps and our magazine Paisa Inc.
We are in the process of launching our latest venture,the Startup Internship Program which aims at promoting interest in entrepreneurship among students by giving them the opportunity to intern in startup companies for which we need your co-operation. We propose the following basic model which can be further discussed and modified as per your needs.
1. We offer you a pool of students interested in interning in your startup.
2. Telephonic interviews are conducted from which you can select the right candidate(s)
3. Students spend their free vacations (Winter : December and Summer : May-Mid July) working in your company for a minimal stipend.
Students can learn a great deal about entrepreneurship by actually working in a startup and experiencing for themselves how a startup works and the problems faced by a company in its initial days. Your participation in the program will go a long way in fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship among our students and give them the unique experience of working in a startup.
