We are currently looking for a Proofreader/ Editor to join our team in Bangalore on a full-time basis.
Candidate profile:
• Post graduates in journalism/ mass communication from a premier institute. Freshers are welcome to apply, as long as they have excellent command over the English language and an attitude to learn and work hard
• Excellent communication, research and team working skills
• An interest in the field of sustainability
• Enterprising, hardworking, proactive and committed to a long term career at Solaron
• Comfortable multitasking and working under strict deadlines
• Comfortable working in a start-up
• Based in Bangalore and ready to begin full time work immediately. No part time/ freelance/ work from home opportunities currently available
• Good contacts in the media, in order for Solaron to leverage and regularly contact them for ‘breaking stories’
Job Description:
• Helping build and maintain a database of controversial news and articles on companies, by using internet search tools
• Summarizing relevant news and articles in own words and helping analysts with their summaries
• Proofreading/ editing summaries for English grammar and sentence construction errors and rectifying the same
• Learning our in-depth research methodology, so that proofreading/ editing can be extended to cover inconsistencies in subject matter knowledge as well
• Enterprising in nature to take the lead to conduct stakeholder interviews to fill in gaps in information collected through the internet
