Internship at Chennai – Sales and Business Development interns required at Uniphore Software Systems / Villgro
Villgro transforms rural lives by identifying and incubating product and service innovations that can be translated into scalable market based models. Since inception in 2001, Villgro has activated close to 2000 innovations and impacted more than 3.6 lakh rural lives. Villgro actively promotes social entrepreneurship and works with different stakeholders to create and support an eco-system that enables this. The mass transformation movement spawned by Villgro, has a singular objective: to create a prosperous rural India, buzzing with ideas for growth.
Uniphore Software Systems. Uniphore is a company incubated under IIT Madras’s RTBI (Under the guidance of Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala), and also funded by Villgro Innovations Foundation. Uniphore focuses on developing automated voice based applications which enable access to information and services over the mobile phones through a natural multi-lingual voice conversation.
We are leveraging state-of-the-art Speech Recognition and Speech Biometrics to deliver solutions for various verticals such as Agriculture, Retail, Livelihood, Financial Services, and Healthcare.
Location: Chennai
Stipend: 10000/month
Develop list of potential client companies in specified verticals. Work with Uniphore’s business development manager to develop the lists into leads. Follow up with the leads and convert them into piloting Uniphore solutions or providing projects for Uniphore.
The internship is a unique hands on opportunity to experience sales and business development functions at the ground level. The impact created by you will be tangibly visible in the company’s top line. Given the origins of Uniphore, it has a social as well as rural focus, hence the impact created by you will effect society in a positive way.
