2009 La Trobe India Scholarship from La Trobe University, Australia
Students applying for this scholarship must have excellent academic records and/or
work experience. A minimum of 70% in a Bachelors degree would be required for
students applying for a postgraduate course and 70% in Year 12 for students
applying for an undergraduate course.

Israel Government Scholarship - 2009-10 for Indian nationals
Applications are invited from Indian nationals on plain paper in the format given below for the award of about 5 - 7 Israeli Government Scholarship tenable from October 2009 to study at an Israeli University or any Institution of higher education in Israel. French Scholarships for Indian Students 2009 planning to join MS course
Twenty-five full scholarships of around 20-25,000 Euros are being offered for two years for Indian students planning to join MS course
France is offering scholarships to meritorious students of engineering from India for post-graduate studies for two years from the academic year starting September 2009.
For this ALTEN; a leading European research and development consulting and advanced engineering group; “n+I”; a network of 75 renowned French engineering institutes, and the French Embassy have come together to fully finance such students.
ALTEN and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs are offering 25 full scholarships of around 20-25,000 Euros for two years for Indian students who wish to enrol in an MS programme.
Core engineering fields
The programmes will in all core engineering fields through “n+i” that works in collaboration with the higher education office of the French Embassy in India.
Last date
The application form for the corporate scholarship is available online at the website of “n+I” - www.nplusi.com and the last date to apply is November 15, 2008.
No prior knowledge of French is required at the time of application and there is no bond that students need to sign with the Company.
No qualifying tests
Students do need to take qualifying tests such as GRE/GMAT etc.
Selection will be done on the basis of academic merit, coherence of the statement of purpose, quality of recommendation letters and a personal interview. Students who make the admission applications need to be present at New Delhi for a personal interview in the month of January 2009.

Award of LSFI Scholarships
LSFI Scholarships (Free) are instituted by Life Science Foundation India to support and encourage meritorious but needy students as part of its Education Promotional Programmes. Every year applications will be invited from students of Indian Nationality for pursuing studies in frontier areas of any discipline or subject in any of the Indian Universities, Colleges, or Institutes. The scholarships are tenable for one year and expendable up to two years.
ELIGIBILITY
Students studying, or applied & awaiting admission in any of the university or college in India are eligible to apply. Academic record should be good and consistent and must have passed their previous examination with 50% (45% for female and reserved). The applicants should be above the age of 16 years, and below 33 years (relaxed up to three years for female & reserved categories).
DETAILS OF THE AWARD
The scholarship will be initially for a period of one year, may be extendable for 2 years based on performance of students. The upper limit of the scholarship will be Rs. 2500/- pm and it may vary depending on the recommendation of selection committee and fund availability. The candidates will be chosen for this award by the panel of Peer Reviewers and Selection Committee. Merit & academic records, present & future plan, societal commitment, research / project plan, family income, character & conduct, co-curricular record etc. will be duly considered while selection of the most deserving student. Short-listed applicants will be interviewed telephonically or by questionnaires or personally to make final selection. The candidates called for personal interview will be paid one-way travel allowances by shortest route. Recommendation made by the panel will be final.
